Teacher Appreciation Awards
Students from around the globe nominated teachers that have inspired them throughout their App Inventor journey. Students wrote heartfelt messages for their teachers expressing their deep gratitude.
The initiative was built around student-led gratitude, giving young creators around the globe the opportunity to celebrate the educators, mentors, and coaches who guided them on their MIT App Inventor journeys. Across social media platforms, students shared moving stories, project videos, and heartfelt messages highlighting the teachers who inspired them to dream big and build meaningful technology.
Teacher Excellence Awards
The Teacher Excellence Awards, presented by the App Inventor Foundation, recognized educators around the world who use MIT App Inventor in innovative ways to promote technological empowerment and computational action.
2023 Teacher Excellence Awards
Hailing from Malaysia, Italy, India, Brazil, and China, seven teachers were recognized in the second Teacher Excellence Awards for their unwavering dedication to their students, their inventive approaches to teaching App Inventor, and their outsized impact on their communities.
2022 Teacher Excellence Awards
Sponsored by Amazon Future Engineer and Mobile CSP, the first Teacher Excellence Awards ran in conjunction with the 2022 Summer Appathon and recognized ten educators from seven countries.
