David Petty, Education Program Manager at the App Inventor Foundation, is presenting a one-hour workshop at the 2026 Texas CSTA Chapters Conference on February 7, 2026, hosted at McMillen High School in Murphy, Texas.

In the workshop, “The latest with MIT App Inventor for AI / data science / physical computing / computational action,” he introduces educators to MIT App Inventor components supporting mobility, generative AI, data collection and analysis, and physical computing with micro:bit. Participants also explore the App Inventor Foundation’s free, open-source curricular units and the new Classroom Portal for managing student projects through classroom-ready live demos.
